Biliran Province State University’s (BiPSU) Public Employment Service Office (PESO) bagged two (2) plaques of recognition: Best Public Employment Service Office (JPO Category) and Public Employment Information System (Provincial Category) from the Department of Labor Employment Regional Office VIII (DOLE RO8), March 2 at DOLE RO8, Tacloban City. The awards were received by Job Placement Officer/Manager Dr. Miguel E. Supremo, Jr.
The Best Public Employment Service Office award was granted to BiPSU for its commendable performance in terms of Referral and Placement, Timely Submissions of Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) and Labor Market Information (LMI) Report, Delivery of Core Services, Advocating PESO Institutionalization, Compliance with Public Employment Services National Certificate-IV (PES NC-IV) Qualification, and use of PESO Employment Information System (PEIS).
Moreover, the BEST PEIS User award is a recognition for the outstanding performance of BiPSU's PESO in the Labor Market in aiding the stakeholders and utilizing the employment facilitation tool of the PESO Employment Information System under the JPO Category.
In an interview with Dr. Supremo, he expressed his gratitude for receiving the said awards despite not expecting it.
"I'm so happy with this kind of award. Hindi ko inaasahan to (receive) this plaque of recognition, and this plaque ay isang dangal sa ating institution, 'di lang para sa akin. Aside from that, I'm so thankful to God, and to our administration,” Dr. Supremo said.

Furthermore, Dr. Supremo shared his successful ways of maintaining the quality services they offer that made BiPSU achieve such accomplishments.
"We have lots of strategies (and) it's an ambition to have this award. My strategy on this is that lahat ng mga gagawin ko, araw-araw (ko) mino-monitor the external office also to make sure na mayroon akong staff doon. Palagi ko silang sinusubaybayan," he added.

In addition, Dr. Supremo passed the Public Information Service Office NC IV, last July 2022 at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Training Center (TESDA-RTC).
