After rigorous evaluation of documents and on-site validation, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) through its Regional Office 8 officially announced the compliance of the Naval State University with the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) Maturity Level 2 Indicators.
In a communication sent to the Naval State University through its OIC University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., Civil Service Commission (CSC)-8 Regional Director Victoria Esber wrote “per evaluation of this Office, through the Policies & Systems Evaluation Division (PSED), your agency has been found to be PRIME-HRM Maturity Level 2 compliant in four (4) core HRM areas and is, therefore, qualified to receive the CSC ROVIII Certificate of Recognition per core HRM area: Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP), Performance Management (PM), Learning and Development (L&D), and Rewards and Recognition (R&R)”.
Dr. Cañezo is set to receive the said recognition during the 2019 Regional Congress of Human Resource Management Practitioners (HRMPs) on February 28 and March 1 at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City.
He is also expected to deliver a five (5) minute talk or response and five (5) minute video that would ‘focus on NSU’s PRIME-HRM journey, as well as the benefits of the program’.
Last November 9 and 10, 2018, the CSC ROVIII conducted an on-site evaluation and validation with Dr. Banello Gabon and Ms. Ma. Victoria P. Arevalo as evaluators.
The Naval State University is the first government agency in the province of Biliran to be evaluated with PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II.
