The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced in a letter dated June 4, 2019 conferring the Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) with the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource (PRIME- HRM) Bronze Award pursuant to the CSC Resolution No. 1801445 issued on December 4 2018.
The Awarding Ceremony for the 2018 PRIME- HRM awardees shall be held during the 2019 Public Sector HR Symposium in Pasay City on July 24, 2019.
According to the CSC, BiPSU was conferred to have managed and implemented its human resource management systems according to a documented process, thereby achieving a process-defined HRM in the four-core HRM systems under the PRIME- HRM.
The 2019 Public Sector Symposium is centered on the theme, “Moving Together toward Ambition Nation 2040”. The Symposium is an annual activity being conducted by the Commission which serves as a venue to discuss trends and share best practices on Human Resource and Organizational Development attended by leaders and human resource practitioners from government agencies nationwide.
Last February 28- March 31, 2019, the commission awarded BiPSU, formerly Naval State University as PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II compliant during the 2019 Regional Congress of Human Resource Management Practitioners (HRMPs).
The university’s Human Resource Management system was found compliant in the areas of Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP), Performance Management, Rewards and Recognition and Learning and Development.
