NAVAL, Biliran- A total of twenty-seven (27) utility models authored by faculty from different departments and colleges of the university have been granted registration by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Bureau of Patents.

Continuing the conversations on sustainable energy, industrial policy and community resilience, the Action for Economic Reforms and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung brought the forum to the Naval State University, July 24.

Titled as “Renewable and Sustainable Energy for Industrial Development: Engaging the Transition Towards a Greener and Resilient Future”, the forum gathered members from the academe, representatives from industry, local government units, regional agency officials, and relevant members of the community.

Aimed to provide opportunities and forge partnership and collaborations with Local Government Units (LGUs), the Naval State University thru its Extension Services Office conducted the first ever Biliran Provincial Extension Summit held on March 6 at NSU Hostel.

“This is the best avenue for the Naval State University – being the only and premiere State University in the Biliran province to disseminate its programs, projects and activities to the LGUs and likewise identify the issues and challenges among LGUs and offer various opportunities for them,” Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., OIC University President said in an interview.
