After his surprise visit and monitoring to Biliran Province State University last February 18, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Director, Dr. Maximo Aljibe, PhD., DPM, CESO III, expressed his commendation to university relative to the implementation of the limited face-to-face classes.

"I did use my time to visit a number of limited face-to-face classes being conducted in the campus. It's worth remembering that it's a very encouraging development that BiPSU is doing the limited face-to-face classes superbly ok," Director Aljibe said in a text message sent to President Cañezo.

He also commended President Victor C. Cañezo for his 'brave move' in reopening the classes across all programs for both Naval and Biliran campuses.

"To thank you [President Cañezo] is not enough for your passionate innovative endeavors. BiPSU is the first implementer of the limited face-to-face classes in the region. Kudos!, " he added.

Director Aljibe, aside from observing the actual conduct of the limited face-to-face classes, visited also the different laboratories, newly constructed buildings, and selected offices.

Meanwhile, President Cañezo expressed his 'sincere appreciation' to CHED Regional Office 8 and Regional Director Aljibe for all the positive comments and observations during his visit.

"Albeit it was surprise visit, still the university was able to pull it off because I believe with all the students, faculty and staff, and the key officials are responsible enough in making sure that the limited face-to-face classes are safe and secure, " President Cañezo said.

It can be noted that only BiPSU, among the 10 SUCs in the Eastern Visayas region, implemented the gradual reopening of the limited face-to-face classes last December 13, 2021.

BiPSU also secured Safety Seal from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for strictly complying on the minimum public health protocols. Likewise, the local IATF and its stakeholders expressed their 'full support' and endorsed the limited face-to-face classes during the #LigtasBalikEskwela Convergence last December 8, 2021.
