BiPSU conducts 6th edition of Researchlympics

Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), through the Research and Development Office, conducted the 6th edition of the ResearchLympics on October 17 at the BiPSU Gymnasium. The said event, which revolved around the theme "Advancing Scientific Inquiry and Collaboration through Research Poster Competition," underscored the commitment of BiPSU to the pursuit of research and innovation excellence for human empowerment and societal development.

Addressing the attendees, BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. expressed his gratitude for the sixth edition of the ResearchLympics and emphasize

d the significance of the event, stating, "It is an opportunity for you to contribute to our university's vision and make a lasting impact on our society."

This year's ResearchLympics featured a research poster competition, categorized into Research Publication, Community Extension, and Technology Transfer. Distinguished experts in the fields of research and extension, including Dr. Efren Saz, Dr. Ludito Ramirez, Dr. Romeo Dignos, and Atty. Pahmi Hadji Ampaso, were invited to serve as the judges for the competition.

Participating in the competition were students representing various schools within BiPSU, including the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), School of Criminal Justice (SCJE), School of Technology and Computer Studies (STCS), School of Engineering (SOE), School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME), School of Teacher Education (STED) at both the Naval and Biliran campuses, and the School of Health and Sciences (SNHS).

To prepare the students for the competition, a two-day seminar-workshop on research poster development was conducted to guide them on how to effectively create and present a research poster. Dr. Ulderico B. Alviola, Engr. Bryan Fulache, and Mr. Paul Vincent Fornis served as the resource persons during the event.
