Vibrant colors of blue and yellow filled the oval of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU)-Biliran Campus as first and second year students performed a playground demonstration during the opening program of the 3-day campus celebration dubbed "Pista ha Biliran Campus" last July 29-31.
The fest is a prelude to BiPSU's golden anniversary as a higher education institution and is a celebration of the 73rd founding anniversary of the satellite campus as a learning institution.
According to Dr. Naneta M. Panit, BiPSU-Biliran campus’ dean of the School of Teacher Education, this year’s celebration was “exceptional from the other founding anniversary”.
“The 3-day activity feels like the spirit of fiesta as we celebrate it day and night. Hundreds or thousands of students attended and participated in the activities this year compared to the previous years,” Dr. Panit said.
Binging out the “plantita” within, BiPSU-Biliran campus hosted the 1st Sylvan Plant Garden Show during the first day of the celebration. Various literary, musical, and sports competitions as well as researchlympics also transpired.
Moreover, the second day of the celebration was filled with fruitful discussions as a series of webinars on agribusiness and natural resources management leadership, practices in rice farming, and organic and tree farming were discussed.
Meanwhile, the search for Mr. and Ms. BiPSU-Biliran campus 2022 concluded on the second day of the celebration. Mr. Francisco A. Burzon Jr. and Ms. Kian Sharie P. Lanante were crowned Mr. and Ms. BiPSU-Biliran Campus 2022.
The pair is set to represent BiPSU-Biliran Campus in the search for Mr. and Ms. BiPSU 2022.
Furthermore, the last day of the celebration was filled with laughter, music, and energy as the awarding, victory party, and the Alumni Homecoming capped the 3-day celebration.
