The Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP). This agreement was signed in New York during Dr. Canezo's participation in the 2nd Leadership Training Program at the United Nations Headquarters, organized by AUAP and the World Federation of United Nations (WFUNA).

The MOA aims to enhance academic cooperation and exchange, marking a new chapter in BiPSU's international academic endeavors.

Established in 1995, the AUAP focuses on regional cooperation among universities to enhance higher education systems, economic and social development, and mutual understanding in Asia and the Pacific. AUAP aims to foster quality and innovation in higher education, uphold cultural diversity, engage with various stakeholders, collaborate with similar organizations, and promote universal peace and international understanding through education.
