Biliran Province State University forms alliance with the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region VIII (DICT-8) on ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), May 23.

The signing of MOU was conducted at the office of the University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo Jr. in pursuant to Proclamation No. 1521, series of 2008 to commemorate and establish the importance of ICT between BiPSU and DICT-8 which focuses on the digital transformation of the country with its newly-adopted Connect, Harness, Innovate and Protect (CHIP) strategic framework.

The MOU between BiPSU and DICT-8 signifies the university's commitment to uphold the importance and values of ICT in nation-building with the annual celebration of National ICT Month held every June.

Moreover, the Dean of School of Technology and Computer Studies, Chona B. Sabinay; BS Computer Science Chairperson Reynold G. Bustillo, Provincial Officer of Southern Leyte, Rey Noel Collera; and Information Technology Officer (ITO), Provincial Officer of Biliran Province and focal person of the ILCDB of DICT-8, Hazel Martinez, also attended the said event.
