To guide students for the upcoming admissions for the next academic year AY 2022-2023, the Admission and Retention Office (ARO), in coordination with the Guidance and Counseling Services Office (GCSO) and the University Media and Information Office (UMIO) hosted a face-to-face orientation and career guidance program entitled "BiPSU Admissions and Career Pathways Orientation” last March 25 at the BiPSU Student Center.
The orientation was designed to instill awareness among the students about the university's admission policies and procedures, scholarships, and social media platforms; guide students in their decision-making on what career pathway to pursue; and prevent program shifting and dropping out should they decide to pursue their undergraduate studies in the university.
More than 230 Grade 12 Students from Biliran Province State University-Laboratory High School participated the said event which includes an orientation of the different programs offered by the university, admission and enrollment requirements and procedures and available scholarships, career talk and orientation of the different social media pages of the institution.
According to Ms. Normae C. Ecija, the Head of the Admission and Retention Office, the activity also supports the #WoWBiPSU Strategic Plan which targets high retention rate and high percentage of students who graduate on time.
“Your college journey is a factor that largely affects your future career and life. It is therefore of great importance to make your university life worth it, and one way to do it is to choose your program wisely,” Dr. Erwin G. Salvatierra, Vice-President of Academic and External Affairs, emphasized as he ends the activity with his closing message.
