Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. discussed the university's recent initiatives on addressing the increasing heat index in an interview with Bombo Radyo Tacloban on April 3. Highlighting the launch of the Study Hub and Coworking Spaces as a key initiative, Dr. Cañezo emphasized its role in providing conducive learning environments for students and faculty.
Dr. Cañezo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to talk about BiPSU's efforts in combating rising temperatures. He explained that the learning hub aims to provide students with a comfortable and productive space for studying and collaboration.
Amid the heat, Dr. Cañezo mentioned that BiPSU is actively seeking feedback from students and faculty through a comprehensive survey. The survey aims to determine preferences and concerns regarding class modalities during challenging weather conditions. Options may include cyclical classes, temporary suspension of face-to-face and online classes with makeup sessions scheduled later, and purely online classes.
Dr. Cañezo emphasized the importance of analyzing survey results to determine the most effective approach for the BiPSU community.
