"Raise the banner of BiPSU!"
Thus spoke Dr. Victor C. Cañezo Jr., President of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) during the send-off on March 27, before the ten (10) School of Teacher Education students who are set to venture in an International Cultural Teaching Immersion at Tepumnouy Hatyai School in Thailand from March 31 to April 13.
On March 29, a group of students departed for Thailand, including Nova Lyzza Ejorcadas, Riza Maligro, Lyan Mae Elorde, Angelica Marie Icain, Hannah Marienelle Sales, Renalyn Abad, Lady Ann Delima, Karisse Mae Calles, Francine Dea Sarmiento, and Venson Ray Olaguer. Accompanying the students are faculty members Dr. Joan Sinagpulo and Ms. Cyril Padar, who also serve as STEd's OJT coordinators.
In a brief exchange, Dr. Cañezo emphasized the significance of giving their utmost during their stay in Thailand, encouraging the students to shine brightly as they are bringing the name and banner of the university.
Dr. Cañezo also expressed hope that these students would explore employment opportunities in Thailand, recognizing the possibility of them being hired due to their experiences gained during this cultural teaching immersion program.
"This initiative marks another significant milestone for BiPSU in its pursuit of internationalization, aligning with the WoW BiPSU 2.0 vision of becoming an internationally recognized university," said Dr. Cañezo.
