BiPSU forges linkage with KCC; kicks off Global Employability Skills Training Program

Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) ties partnership with the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) through Worldwide Link Education Development Inc. in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the launching of the four-day Global Employability Skills Training Program (GESTP) at the university gymnasium on June 13.

The four-day training program aims to equip BiPSU graduating students with the knowledge to enhance their employability in today's competitive job market through the invited esteemed guests who will provide expert guidance to help them succeed in their career aspirations, namely, Dr. Ahn Yeong Gil, Capt. Junmar Roa, Mr. Roberto Castro, Prof. Paul Huntley Groome, Dr. Clarita Joy Villpando, and Mr. Lawrence Ishmael Villapando.

In his message during the opening program, BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo Jr. said that this initiative is a testament to the university’s dedication to its students and shows that the institution is academically prepared and holistically developed for its students' future roles.

“This event underscores our commitment to you all as we aim to better equip you for the global market,” he added.

In addition, Dr. Cañezo also said that the activity would help BiPSUNistas develop their skills from communication to professional etiquette, which will give them an edge in their respective careers.

The opening program was attended by BiPSU key officials, faculty and staff, alumni, and graduating students from the various degree programs offered by the university. Moreover, the International Affairs Office (IAO) and External Affairs Office (EAO) organized the four-day training program through its directors, Dr. Maribel N. Zipagan and Dr. Jane Marie Genson, respectively.
