As part of BiPSU’s 50th founding anniversary, the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS), embarked on a 3-day school day celebration dubbed as Nursing Days 2022.
With the theme, “Tradition and Transformation: A celebration of BiPSU’s Gloden Years of Weaving of Worthiness”, the celebration included Trade Show Booths, and various literary, cultural, musical, and sports competitions per level.
Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, Dr. Jovy Dia R. Saniel emphasized that all of the categories of contest in the Nursing Days provided a platform where the students could be able to showcase their talents and their skills.
“Since December 2021, we have been in full-time face-to face classes since we are not following the Cyclical Shifting schedule, this is sort of like their freedom to express and their freedom from the world of nursing,” she said.
SNHS also initiated their Alumni Community Outreach Program together with the participants and beneficiaries held at Brgy. Sto. Nino, Naval, Biliran with two main activities: Sanitation and Waste Management Program and Feeding Program.
Simultaneous competitions were participated by the different levels of the school such as poster-making contest, quiz bowl, and folk dance and the search for Mr. and Ms. SNHS, as one of the highlights of the celebration.
Moreover, to further educate BiPSUnistas, they also conducted a seminar on mainstreaming HIV/AIDS prevention in the workplace.
Marking the end of the celebration, SNHS conducted Alumni-Faculty/ Student Night, Street Dance Competition, Vocal Solo (Kundiman) Competition, and awarding of certificates to winners of the Literary and Musical Competitions.
