Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), through the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office, organized a specialized capacity-building program in collaboration with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) focused on levels III, IV, and institutional accreditation. Titled "Elevating BiPSU’s Quality Assurance," the event was held on February 28–29, with Day 1 at the BiPSU Hyflex Audio-Visual Center (HAVC) and Day 2 at the gymnasium.

BiPSU’s accreditation task force participated in the capacity-building, which featured speakers from Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and AACCUP. Notable speakers included Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio, Director of PUP's Quality Assurance Center, and Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director of AACCUP.

On the first day, Dr. Claudio led discussions on Level III accreditation criteria, covering areas such as curriculum, faculty development, and research. In the afternoon, topics included teaching methods, community engagement, and international partnerships.

Dr. Ho shared insights on institutional accreditation criteria on the second day, emphasizing governance, teaching evaluation, and research standards. The afternoon sessions addressed extension services, library resources, infrastructure, and fostering a quality assurance culture.

Moreover, Dr. Ho highlighted that achieving levels III and IV accreditation signifies more than institutional recognition, indicating readiness for delivering high-quality education. She added that accreditation benefits both the university and its students by ensuring standards are met and competencies are developed.
