The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) officially awards QS Stars to Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) during the QS Higher Education Summit: Asia Pacific 2022 hosted by Universitas Indonesia and co-hosted by Prince of Songkla University, held on 8-10 November 2022 in Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta City, Jakarta, Indonesia.

BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Canezo, Jr., Vice-President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services Dr. Marianne Agnes T. Mendoza, and Planning Director Mr. Joedel Peñaranda attended the summit and received the QS Stars award.

The summit also paved the way for the university to partner with two universities: Shoolini University in India and Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU). Shoolini University has been consistently ranked among India’s top 100 universities (NIRF) and is one of the country’s highest generators of patents and innovation, and matches the world’s best universities in research output. Meanwhile, APU is rated the number one university in Asia and Malaysia for multicultural learning experience and number one for international students based on QS Asia University Rankings 2021.

The summit convened higher education leaders, policymakers, and industry experts and discussed “The Next Big Think: Addressing New Opportunities and Existing Challenges in APAC Higher Education.
