STEd relives HUGYAW in season 2.0

Following its successful launch last year, the School of Teacher Education (STEd) held the 2nd leg of Hugyaw sa STEd last July 11–12.

Highlighting the opening of the two-day celebration was the ribbon cutting ceremony attended by university key officials headed by Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., university president, and the launching of an educational expo featuring booths of different STEd program organizations.

Moreover, students also participated in different Laro ng Lahi activities dubbed as "Pagunat sa Kusug" and various literary and musical competitions, including spoken poetry, vocal solo, poster making, and eco-fashion show, that displayed the artistry and resourcefulness of the students.

An awarding ceremony, dubbed as Pasigarbo sa STED 2022, was also held, which recognizes industry partners and other stakeholders and faculty members who have shown commendable performance in research, innovation, extension, and production services.

Dr. Ryan Arpon, STEd dean, reminded the students and employees to always embody the weaving of worthiness of BiPSU.

"We can't afford to take away excellence in our hearts; we are this one strand in the mat that will always continue weaving the worthiness," he said.

The HUGYAW SA STED 2022 is anchored on the theme of the 50th Founding Anniversary of the institution, "Tradition and Transformation: A Celebration of BiPSU's Golden Years of Weaving of Worthiness."
