Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) joined the Navaleños in celebrating the 163rd Charter Anniversary of Naval, also known as Pueblo Day, on September 26.
In accordance with Proclamation No. 317 from the Office of the President and per Executive No. 65 series of 2023 from the Office of the Municipal Mayor, September 26, 2023, is declared as a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Naval, Province of Biliran, to celebrate a significant event of the town.
In line with the celebration, BiPSU faculty and staff joined the opening parade around the town of Naval together with the national and local agencies, public and private schools, private agencies and business sectors, religious and civic organizations, barangays, clubs, and organizations to commemorate the independence of Naval as a pueblo (town).
This year's theme, “Celebrating 163 Years of Naval’s Vibrant Culture and Traditions,” showcases the unwavering inclusivity, unity, high spirit, and honor of its history that Navaleños has taken pride in over the years. Let us fill the town of Naval with smiles and colors that reflect the love of Navalenos.
Moreover, this is only a hint of the celebration for the Naval Town and Religious Fiesta, which will be on October 6-7, where many fun activities await not just for our fellow Navaleños but also for the tourists to experience.
