Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), through its Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office, recently concluded a highly successful ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) training program. The intensive three-day event, held from July 7 to July 9, 2025, equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in quality management and internal auditing.

The training kicked off on July 7 with a focused session on "Risk and Opportunity Management Training." This crucial component of QMS empowers organizations to proactively identify potential challenges and leverage emerging possibilities, ensuring continuous improvement and resilience. Participants delved into methodologies for assessing risks, developing mitigation strategies, and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance institutional effectiveness.

The subsequent two days, July 8 and 9, were dedicated to "Managing and Conducting Internal Audit Based on ISO 9001:2015 Requirements and ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines." This segment provided a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of internal auditing, a vital tool for verifying the effectiveness of a QMS. Attendees learned how to plan, execute, and report on internal audits, ensuring compliance with international standards and fostering a culture of accountability within BiPSU.

Mr. Mark Anthony Lugay, a seasoned resource speaker in quality management systems, expertly facilitated the program.
