Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has achieved a significant academic milestone, securing a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for its Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program, effective Academic Year 2025-2026.
The COPC, issued by CHED Regional Office VIII on July 25, 2025, certifies that BiPSU has successfully complied with the stringent national standards for curriculum, faculty, and facilities mandated by the Higher Education Act of 1994.
This achievement is a cornerstone of University President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr.'s vision of WoW BiPSU 2.0, which champions a continuous weaving of worthiness through institutional excellence. It underscores the university's unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, relevant, and future-ready education.
The validation from CHED is crucial as it ensures that graduates of the program will be eligible to take professional licensure examinations, empowering them to contribute significantly to the technological advancement of Biliran Province and the nation.
University President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., EdD, CHRP, along with the School of Engineering Dean Dr. Carmel Sigrid Docallos and faculty members, formally received the certificate at the CHED Regional Office VIII today, August 8, 2025.
"This is a momentous occasion for BiPSU and a testament to our collective dedication to academic excellence," President Cañezo stated. "Securing this COPC is not just an administrative achievement; it is a promise to our students of a future-proof education that meets the highest standards. I extend my deepest gratitude to the diligent faculty and staff of the School of Engineering, led by Dean Docallos, and everyone who poured their expertise and hard work into making this a reality. This milestone is a significant leap forward in our WoW BiPSU 2.0 journey."
This accomplishment marks a monumental step forward for the university.
Congratulations, BiPSUnistas! Onwards to a future of greater academic excellence!
