BiPSU and University of Da Nang Celebrate Completion of Faculty and Student Immersion Program

Marking a significant milestone in international academic cooperation, the University of Da Nang – Software Development Centre (UD-SDC) officially concluded its Faculty and Students Immersion Program with Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) in a ceremony highlighted by technical achievement and vibrant cultural exchange on March 13, 2025.

The closing program featured the awarding of Certificates of Completion to the participants, signaling the successful end of an intensive period of professional and academic growth. Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, Director of UD-SDC, expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to BiPSU University President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo Jr. for the opportunity to host the delegation.

During the ceremony, Dr. Cuong commended the participants for their eagerness to learn, dedication, and perseverance. He noted that the projects completed during the immersion not only met but exceeded his expectations, reflecting the high caliber of the BiPSU delegation.

Representing the BiPSU leadership, Dr. Reynold G. Bustillo extended his gratitude to the SDC team for developing a well-structured and commendable training program. He specifically acknowledged the center’s comprehensive learning outcomes, clearly defined outputs, and the expertise of the Vietnamese lecturers who facilitated the sessions.

The emotional weight of the experience was captured by Dr. Reymon M. Santiañez, who was visibly moved during his speech. He expressed heartfelt thanks to Director Cuong and his staff for their exceptional hospitality and effort during the group's stay in Da Nang City, emphasizing the profound impact the program had on the participants’ professional development and the weaving of worthiness within their global academic journey.

Beyond the technical training, the event served as a stage for cultural diplomacy. BiPSU students, joined by their Vietnamese counterparts Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh “Kat-Kat” and Ms. Ngoc Diep “Donna,” performed the Kuratsa and Tiklos, traditional dances from Eastern Visayas, Philippines. These performances showcased the richness of Filipino heritage and the growing spirit of collaboration between the two nations.

The celebration continued with musical renditions that bridged the two cultures. Ms. Loan Trinh performed a Vietnamese song, followed by Filipino and English numbers from Mr. Gilland Gilter S. Sabile and Mr. Kian Carl A. Gutierrez. These artistic exchanges served as a testament to the camaraderie and shared creativity developed throughout the immersion experience, reinforcing the bonds between the two Southeast Asian institutions.
