Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) has released the academic stipends for the previous semester (AY 2024-2025), providing significant financial support to its high-achieving students. On Friday, July 18, a total of 790 academic scholars received their financial benefits, marking the university's continued commitment to rewarding academic excellence.

A total of ₱3,715,000 was disbursed to scholarship recipients based on their General Weighted Average (GWA), with financial aid distributed to two tiers of awardees: 160 University Scholars with a GWA of 1.0 to 1.29 each received a stipend of ₱5,500, and 630 College Scholars with a GWA of 1.3 to 1.5 each received ₱4,500.

In a statement, BiPSU President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., EdD, CHRP, expressed his pride in the students' accomplishments. "We are immensely proud of our 790 University and College Scholars," President Cañezo said. "They are the skilled weavers of their own bright futures. This stipend is the culmination of their 'weaving of worthiness' through sheer academic diligence. It is our investment in their potential and our way of affirming that at BiPSU, excellence is always recognized and rewarded."

The news was met with gratitude from the student beneficiaries. "Receiving this stipend is a huge blessing," shared a  College Scholar. "It truly lessens the financial burden on my parents. This recognition inspires me to continue working hard and maintain my grades. I am very thankful to the university."
