BiPSU faculty members participate in ‘Money Talks’ financial literacy seminar

Twenty-five faculty members from Biliran Province State University participated in the financial literacy seminar “Money Talks: Learn. Save. Invest.” held on September 8 at the Leyte Normal University (LNU) HRDC Hall in Tacloban City.

The seminar was organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Tacloban-Leyte, Inc., in partnership with LNU, with the participation of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Tacloban Branch.

The participating faculty members came from the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM), School of Business and Management (SBM), School of Technology and Computer Studies (STCS), and the Department of Agribusiness Management.

The seminar discussed practical approaches to financial management, including budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, and responsible spending. Participants also learned about the security features of Philippine currency, including the newer polymer banknotes, to help them better recognize and handle Philippine money.

The activity provided the faculty members with practical knowledge that may guide them in making sound and responsible financial decisions. The lessons gained may also be shared with students and colleagues, helping promote greater financial awareness within the BiPSU community.
