Demonstrating literary and educational excellence on an international stage, four faculty members of Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) received prestigious accolades at the Gawad Pamana ng Pluma International held on December 6, 2025, at the 456 Hotel in Baguio City.

The awards ceremony, organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Filipinong Awtor at Manunulat sa Pilipinas, Inc. (Organization of Filipino Authors and Writers in the Philippines, Inc.), ASSETT of the Philippines Inc., and M.E. Publications, recognized educators who have made significant contributions to literature and leadership.

Leading the BiPSU honorees were Dr. Miguel E. Supremo, Jr. and Dr. Jelyn M. Magno, who both secured the Platinum Award for Katangi-tanging Manunulat (Exceptional Writer) and were distinguished as Gurong Lider 2025 (Teacher Leader 2025).

Mr. Jeson V. Viñas also brought home a Platinum Award for Katangi-tanging Manunulat, while Dr. Beltram Sabonsolin was conferred the Gold Award for Natatanging Manunulat (Distinguished Writer).

Beyond the recognition ceremony, the faculty members participated in a seminar focused on creative writing and publication. The sessions aimed to further enhance pedagogical strategies in teaching literature and to promote the production of scholarly and creative works.

Lauding this significant feat, University President Prof. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., EdD, CHRP commended the faculty members for raising the university’s banner in the field of literature and arts.

"This achievement is a testament to the world-class competence of our workforce," Prof. Cañezo stated. "Through their masterful craft, our faculty members have demonstrated a weaving of worthiness that vividly reflects the university's core value of Brilliance, bringing immense pride to the entire BiPSU community."
