Biliran Province State University achieved a 100% passing rate among its first-time takers in the August 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE), based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on August 13. Both of the University’s two first-time takers passed the examination, giving BiPSU a perfect passing rate in the category.
BiPSU also recorded a 60% passing rate among its repeaters, with three of the five examinees passing the licensure examination. Overall, five out of seven BiPSU examinees passed, giving the University a 71.43% passing rate, which is higher than the 36.95% national passing rate.
The five new Mechanical Engineers of BiPSU are Engr. Jay-V D. Tabocolde, Engr. Jasper King D. Sañosa, Engr. Ed Sunbrenn O. Alarde, RMP, Engr. James Alfred C. Gonzaga, and Engr. Cheno Marvic M. Vicera.
The University congratulates its new Mechanical Engineers and extends its appreciation to the Mechanical Engineering Department, chaired by Engr. Ramon L. Pitao, Jr., and the School of Engineering, headed by its Dean, Engr. Carmel Sigrid D. Docallos, as well as the entire BiPSU community, for their support and efforts toward this achievement.
