BiPSU holds 8th SHS Commencement Exercises, 10th Completion Rites for LabHigh

Biliran Province State University- Laboratory High School (BiPSU LHS) officially concluded its 8th Senior High School (SHS) Commencement Exercises and 10th Completion Rites today, May 5, at the BiPSU Gymnasium.

With the theme “Generation of Unity: Partners for the New Philippines,” the university officially conferred the diplomas and certificates of completion to 145 Senior High School (SHS) graduates and 103 Junior High School (JHS) completers for Academic Year 2024-2025. 

In his commencement speech, Atty. Leonito Bacalando, Jr., secretary and attorney general of the Department of Justice of the Federated States of Micronesia, emphasized the importance of learning from others and challenged the completers and graduates to explore and be ambitious in life.

“It is very empowering to realize that for each one of you, graduates, you can become what you want to be in the future. Watch and learn from those who came before you, imagine how much greater heights you can achieve, and how much more barriers you can overcome,” Atty. Bacalando said. 

“You are young, vibrant, and full of energyexplore the world and empower others, go beyond the horizon, be ambitious and be bold, speak the truth, embrace the bright future, and most importantly, you conquer your own destiny.” 

Meanwhile, Ms. Mae V. Ceblano, LHS chairperson, presented the candidates for completion and graduation. The completers were composed of 6 candidates in Garments Technology, 16 in Handicraft Technology, 40 in Foods Technology, 6 in Ceramics Technology, and 35 in automotive technology; while the graduates were composed of 75 candidates in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), 32 in Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), 48 in Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM).

Moreover, Dr. Roberto N. Mangaliman, Schools Division Superintendent officer-in-charge, expressed his sincere  congratulations to the completers and graduates and highlighted the role of BiPSU in shaping them to conquer life’s endeavors.

“To our beloved graduates and completers, as you step forward into new challenges and opportunities that life may offer, we are confident  that you will be triumphant in your endeavors because your Alma Mater, Biliran Province State University, had equipped you with the necessary competencies and skills to navigate the complexities of the world,” Dr. Mangaliman emphasized.

The ceremony was attended by University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., along with university vice presidents Dr. Susan Bentor, Dr. Roland Niez, Dr. Erwin G. Salvatierra, and Engr. Vivencio Pelesco, Board of Regents members Hon. Jaime Dianne Espina, Hon. Aluah Kane Cabalhin, and Hon. Vennie Coton, PCOL Felix Gervacio Jr, Alumni regent represented by Alumni President Hon. Jerome Arcenal, University and Board Secretary Dr. Ralph Arvic Arcenal, DepED Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Roberto N. Mangaliman,  Senior Education Program Specialist Dr. Ryan G. Japay, unit heads, directors, chairpersons, and faculty members.
