BiPSU holds recognition 2022

After the long strike of pandemic, Biliran Province State University conducted its first recognition day for the class of 2022, last August 20 at the BIPSU gymnasium.

A total of 219 Latin awardees from the different schools including the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), School of Criminal Justice Education (SCJE), School of Engineering (SOE), School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME), School of Technology and Computer Studies (STCS), and School of Teacher Education (STEd), marched on the stage to receive the recognition.

Out of this number, 1 clinched the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude, 33 are Magna Cum Laude awardees, and 177 students were awarded Cum Laude.

As confirmed by the university registrar, this is the first time in BiPSU's history to have a student who achieved the highest academic title.

Meanwhile, a total of 770 students were conferred as Dean’s Lister during the recognition ceremony.

Among these, 126 students are from SAS, 65 from the SCJE, 31 from the SOE, 171 from the SME, 66 from the SNHS, 85 from the STCS, and 226 from STEd.

In his inspirational talk, University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., commended the student for their dedication in achieving their dreams in the time of pandemic.

“I can see the silver lining that despite the unprecedented challenges of this pandemic you all emerge victorious in this academic battle,” the university president said.

Moreover, he also asked favor from the honorees to value and honor the name of the university.

“Love and protect the good name of Biliran Province State University.,” Dr. Cañezo said. “In return, we will continue in providing only the best education and we will make sure to cement a road towards a brighter future.”
