On their barong and filipiniana attires, the awardees for the 2nd WoW BiPSU awards walked with honor and pride during the awarding ceremony last August 23 at the university Gymnasium.

According to University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., the awarding ceremony is a gesture of appreciation and recognition for the “valuable contributions and commendable performance” of the university’s stakeholders towards weaving of worthiness and excellence for the institution.

“As we commemorate the golden anniversary celebration of our beloved institution, we also celebrate our milestones and accolades that we have collectively achieved and weaved as an institution,” he added.

Awards and recognition for research and innovation, extension, production, instruction, internalization, administration, loyalty award, well- prepared school, WoW BiPSU best school implementer, WoW BiPSU prime mover award, Weaver of Worthiness award, and WoW BiPSU excellence award were given during the ceremony.

Mr. Rey Albert Uy, representative of CSC Regional Director Atty. Marilyn E. Taldo, said that the activity manifests the establishment of the rewards and recognition program of BIPSU as outlined in the agency Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence or PRAISE.

“I am sure that the passionate officials and employees of BiPSU, as exemplified by our awardees today is15indeed fueled by its core values of Brilliance, Innovation, Progress, Service and Unity,” Mr. Uy said.

“Your achievements inspire us all to do better and deliver beyond expectations as we continue with our pursuit “to advance the university through innovative human resource, responsive research, sustainable production, and demand-driven services,” he added.

Furthermore, the WoW BiPSU awarding ceremony is part of the series of activities for the golden anniversary of BiPSU as a higher education institution.

Some attendees of the event include Regional Director Atty. Marilyn E. Taldo represented by Mr. Rey Albert Uy, university president Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., members of the BiPSU Board of Regents, former Biliran Governor Hon. Rogelio J. Espina, and faculty and staff of the university.
