Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) Karatedo Team made a triumphant mark at the Invitational Open Karate Championship 2025 held on July 26–27 in Panglao, Bohol, bringing home a total of 14 medals—5 golds, 6 silvers, and 3 bronzes.
Gold medals were claimed by Melvin D. Esmeralda (-60kg), Khien Vinse C. Panal (+84kg), Jhonzen O. Glore (-74kg), and Geoff Lawrence S. Delantar (-67kg) in the Advance Kumite divisions.
Silver medals were earned by Joshua S. Roda (Intermediate Individual Kata), Hanna Mae G. Cabiltes (-60kg), Joey M. Petallana (-67kg), and the synchronized kata trio of Stephanie V. Norio, Ann Jewel Nepomuceno, and Samantha L. De los Santos.
Bronze medalists included Geoff Lawrence S. Delantar (Individual Kata), Clyde Vincent Dolino (-60kg), and Joshua S. Roda (-55kg) in the Advance Kumite categories.
The team was accompanied by Henreyna Jane C. Redublado, Chairperson of Sports Services, and led by Coach Dante E. Ylanan, who also earned a gold medal in the Kata Senior Category.
