During the second day of the Strategy, Operations, and Performance Calibration Workshop, BiPSU key officials took their oath as members of BiPSU's Performance Management Team (PMT) on October 4, 2022, at Hotel Estrella, Tacloban City. 

Ms. Ma. Christina Aquino, Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Senior Assessor and Planning Consultant, facilitated the oath. 

Per MC No. 6, s. 2012 - Guidelines in the Establishment and Implementation of Agency SPMS, the PMT is generally tasked to ensure that performance targets and measures, as well as budget, are aligned with those of the agency and that work distribution of offices and units is rationalized. 

Moreover, the PMT will carry out the following functions and responsibilities, such as convening a consultation meeting of all Heads of Office to discuss the targets set in the office performance commitment and rating form; and recommending approval of the office performance commitment and rating to the Head of Agency. Currently, the PMT is being chaired by Dr. Marianne Agnes T. Mendoza, who is also the university’s Vice-President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services. 

Furthermore, the PMT acts as an appeals body and final arbiter for performance management issues of the agency; identifies potential top performers and provides input to the PRAISE Committee for award and incentive grants; develops its own internal rules, procedures, and strategies for carrying out the aforementioned responsibilities, including meeting and deliberation schedules; and delegation of authority to representatives in case of absence of its members.
