Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) opened the 2026 run of its “WoW BiPSU Extension in Action” radio program on September 16, with Dr. Roland A. Niez, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Societal Impact, as the featured guest.

Airing over 103.9 Radyo Natin-FM Naval, Biliran, the episode highlighted recent University milestones and the contribution of extension and societal impact initiatives to BiPSU’s continuing pursuit of institutional excellence.

During the discussion, Dr. Niez shared BiPSU’s latest achievement of securing Level III Institutional Accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), making BiPSU the second State University and College (SUC) in Region VIII to attain the accreditation level.

Dr. Niez also recognized the Office of Extension Services and Societal Impact (OESSI) for obtaining the highest points among all assessment areas, highlighting the office’s significant contribution to the University’s overall performance in the institutional accreditation.

He likewise expressed his gratitude to BiPSU’s extension partners for their unwavering support to the University’s extension programs, emphasizing the important role of sustained partnerships in ensuring that community-based initiatives remain relevant, responsive, and impactful.

The recognition reflects the University’s continuing emphasis on translating its academic and technical expertise into programs that respond to the needs of communities and stakeholders.

The September 16 broadcast marked the first “WoW BiPSU Extension in Action” episode for 2026, continuing the radio program as a platform for communicating the University’s extension initiatives, accomplishments, partnerships, and societal impact to communities in Biliran and beyond.
