Biliran Province State University was among the higher education institutions (HEIs) recognized by the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office VIII (DBM-8) for its contribution to the responsible use of public resources.

The University received the Higher Education Resource Partnership Award on September 17 during Project BISIG (Bridging Institutions and Stakeholders for Inclusive Governance) at the Leyte Convention Complex in Brgy. Pawing, Palo, Leyte.

The recognition highlighted BiPSU’s partnership with DBM-8 in supporting the delivery of accessible, responsive, and quality higher education through the responsible management of public resources. 

Engr. Vivencio A. Pelesco, vice president for Administration, Finance, and Sustainable Management, accepted the award on behalf of the University.

Project BISIG, held on September 17–18, is part of the Regional Open Government Program and carried the theme, “Building Stronger Partnerships and Strengthening Citizen Participation for Inclusive Co-Creation and Sustained Collaboration on Public Financial Management.”
