BiPSU revives in-person research and innovation tilt

BiPSU once again proved its commitment to intensifying its research efforts as it once again held various research and innovation last August 26, at the university grounds. 
Anchored on the theme, "Demystifying Research and Development: Innovation and Technologies for a VUCA World," seven schools and the BiPSU-Biliran Campus clashed in different research and innovation competitions. 
 
Students showcased their skills and intelligence in various activities, including Innovation Expo, University-wide Researchlympics, Poster Presentation, Statistical Computation Contest, Battle of the Brains, Amazing Race, and the SDG Ambassadors. 
 
Moreover, present during the activity were Hon. Gerard Roger Espina, governor of Biliran; Dr. Faustino V. Gayas Jr, OIC-provincial director of DTI Biliran; and Dr. Marianne Agnes Mendoza, vice-president for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services .
 
Dr. Mendoza shared that she was thrilled to bring back the activity this year. 
 "I am utmost thankful that, after two years of pandemic, this occasion has finally come to be in a face-to-face setup," she expressed. Meanwhile, 18 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) exhibitors participated in the DTI Trade Fair, such as the Naval Suman Delicacies (NASUMA), and Dani's Shell Crafts, among others. 
According to Dr. Gayas, the trade fair aims to showcase the locally made products of the province of Biliran, such as suman delicacies, handicrafts, bags, and food products.
 
The said event is in line with the celebration of the BiPSU's 50th Founding Anniversary as a higher education institution.
