Cementing the university’s commitment to performance excellence and quality standard, BiPSU has been found to conform to the Quality Management System (QMS) standard ISO 9001:2015, with no major or minor noncompliance recorded, for the Provision of Tertiary Education in all Program Offerings by the DNV (Det Norske Veritas), August 8-10.
Following the 3-day QMS Recertification Audit, BiPSU should be granted the same ISO, per recommendation of the DNV audit team Mr. Alexander Jose T. Javier, senior lead auditor, DNV team leader; and Ms. Marita L. Bayon, senior lead auditor, DNV team member.
Moreover, the DNV auditors recognized noteworthy efforts of the University for the last three (3) years through the #WoWBiPSU Five-Year Development Plan.
In his message, BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Canezo Jr, emphasized that the pandemic did not hinder the university from providing quality and excellent service to its clients through improving the quality management system (QMS) and adapting to alternative ways and delivery methods.
“This recertification audit simply gives us another room for improvement,” he said. “We firmly adhere on the premise that only when we see our mistakes and learn from it, we can fully develop and grow. BiPSU, no matter how the university is, still we need to further develop and grow.”
Furthermore, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Mr. Carlito C. Cabas, Jr., stated that “the ISO 9001:2015 QMS is set as one of the essential factors in setting quality services in our university.”
The ISO Recertification aims to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement of the university's quality management system.
