The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Region 8, under the leadership of PASUC 8 President, Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., together with the SUC Presidents, Cultural Affairs Directors headed by the Regional Culture and Arts Coordinator, Dr. Nelson Enage, is set to make its mark on the national stage as it heads to compete in the National Culture and Arts Festival (NCAF) hosted at the Philippine Normal University (PNU) in Manila, from April 23- 25.
With around 200 delegates representing the 10 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) from Region 8, the PASUC 8 delegation is preparing to exhibit the region's cultural heritage and artistic talents at the 2024 NCAF.
Earlier today, President Cañezo delivered his inspirational message before the delegates from Eastern Visayas, urging them to uphold the tagline #GreatPASUC8 and to strive for excellence in their performances and presentations.
Further, he also addressed the concerns raised by the delegates and inspected the billeting arrangements to ensure the comfort and well-being of the delegates.
The PASUC 8 President also met with the host President, Dr. Bert J. Tuga of PNU, who welcomed the delegates to their university.
Anchored on the theme "BIDLISIW: Paghilom, Pagbangon, at Pagsulong," the 2024 NCAF, scheduled from April 23-25, will gather around 4,000 students, coaches, trainers, and officials from various SUCs nationwide.
Said event is co-hosted by the NCR SUCs and the City of Manila in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
