Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) earned the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Level II recognition for proficiency in quality management, the highest accolade for the PQA regionalization program. The announcement was made today, December 22, by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The Philippine Quality Award (PQA) is in accordance with Republic Act (RA) No. 9013, which encourages organizations to attain excellence in the production and delivery of goods and services. Moreover, it is a national recognition system implemented by DTI that serves as a framework for assessing an organization's performance against established criteria. It also considered as the highest level of recognition for business excellence in the Philippines.

BiPSU's attainment of the PQA Level II recognition places it among the distinguished few in the region. Alongside BiPSU, three other State University Colleges (SUCs) in the region have also received this recognition. These include Visayas State University (VSU), Eastern Samar State University (ESSU), and Southern Leyte State University (SLSU).

The PQA Level II recognition is a significant milestone for BiPSU, reinforcing its position as a leading educational institution dedicated to providing quality education and services to its stakeholders. The recognition also serves as motivation for the university to persist in its pursuit of excellence in all facets of its operations.
