Biliran Province State University guided Samar State University through QS Stars Rating benchmarking last September 12-13 at the President's Convergence room.
University President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr. shared his gratitude that out of all SUCs, SSU chose BiPSU for the benchmarking activity.
"This benchmarking activity is another milestone for us as the weaver of worthiness, and we are glad that you chose BiPSU to benchmark on your plans to apply QS Star," Cañezo said in his message.
He also emphasized that BiPSU is open and willing to share what the institution has, marking the possibility for more future collaborations.
Gracing the endeavor were the SSU Technical Working Group composed of Director for International Affairs, Dr. Elmer A. Irene; QS Project Staff Marichu C. Nablo, Rhea A. Parroco, and Ariel N. Abarratigue; Project Staff Twinning Program, Mark Brian S. Quemano; and Documentation Officer, Bryan Manicani.
Moreover, the said activity immersively discussed the QS Stars criteria and application process, where SSU obtained an unbiased assessment of BiPSU's performance compared to other higher education institutions. Likewise, this recognized SSU's performance gaps to improve Quality Assurance and Internationalization and promoted a continual improvement of mindset and culture.
BiPSU is now a 3-Star institution according to the Quacquarelli Symonds QS Stars Rating System, one of the world's premier global higher education sector analytics.
