In line with its efforts in strengthening its internationalization initiatives, Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lincoln University College (LUC) of Malaysia last August 23.

The collaborative partnership was instituted to foster a friendly relationship through mutual cooperation in teaching, research, and extension activities between BiPSU and LUC.

According to Dr. Maribel N. Zipagan, Director for the Office of International Affairs of BiPSU, both parties have reached an agreement on the following areas of cooperation: development of curricula and benchmarking practices between both parties; upgrading and development of faculty and instructors; collaboration on research activities including publications; participation in seminars and academic meetings; exchange of faculty; student exchange program and academic material; special short-term academic programs, and more, which is set to be in effect for five years.

Zipagan and Dr. Sandeep Poddar, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation of LUC, done separately in the respective universities.
