Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) President, Dr. Victor C. Canezo, Jr., delivered a talk on Institutionalizing a Knowledge Organization for State University for the Future, during the 2021 Service Excellence Summit for Leaders (SESL) held last September 10 via Zoom conferencing.
In his talk, entitled “WEAVE” which is anchored on the university’s branding Weaving of Worthiness for Biliran Province State University (WoW BiPSU), Dr. Canezo shared the different practices and initiatives of Biliran Province State University, as well as the different programs and initiatives of the Eastern Visayas Higher Education Institutions- Flexible Learning Management System Consortium (EVHEIs-FLMSC) comprising of the ten (10) State Universities and Colleges in Eastern Visayas.
Among these practices include the establishment of the institution’s Learning Management System, crafting of the universities catch-up and Learning Continuity Plans (LCP) to continue with the delivery of higher education amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic, as well as different initiatives of the consortium.
Moreover, themed “Adapting Public Service Delivery to the Emerging HR Challenges in the New Normal,” the two- day leader’s summit was organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office VIII to enable government executives in Eastern Visayas to share insights on the current principles, processes, tools and approaches in promoting excellent public service delivery vis-à-vis with the emerging challenges in Leadership and Human Resource Management (HRM) practices in the New Normal.
The said virtual summit was attended by the heads of National Government Agencies and GOCCs Regional Directors, Assistant Regional Directors, General Managers, or Managers of Government Owned and Controlled Corporations, presidents of SUCs/LUCs, Local Chief Executives and their Vice, Department Heads, Division Chiefs, all line managers including Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, Senior Education Program Specialists, Education Program Specialists, Elementary and Secondary School Principals, Head Teachers, and all supervisory/managerial positions, HRM Officers and staff, and all HRM practitioners.
