Almeria, Biliran – In a testament to the power of education, Biliran Province State University's School of Management and Entrepreneurship recently spearheaded a transformative community extension project led by its dedicated students. Aptly titled the "Tourism Reformation Achieved through Communication Edification (TRACE) Extension Project," this initiative, conducted in partnership with the local government of Almeria, specifically Barangay Talahid, was a collaborative effort that included the Sangguniang Kabataan of Talahid, Alpha Kappa Rho International Fraternity and Sorority, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Taking place from August 17 to 19, 2022, the TRACE Extension Project was designed to bolster knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning proper solid waste management within the Talahid community, Almeria, with a vision of sustainable tourism.
Biliran Province, Philippines – The Biliran Province State University's School of Teacher Education recently conducted a groundbreaking "Literacy and Awareness Campaign on the Benefits of Solid Waste Management," under the banner of Project LABOG 2022 - Literacy and Awareness of the Benefits of Organized Garbage.
