As of June 8, only three weeks after Biliran Province State University officially opened its face-to-face admission examinations for the Academic Year (AY) 2022-2023, the BiPSU Admission and Retention Office (ARO) had already accommodated 3,130 student applicants for the university's various program offerings.

Biliran Province, Philippines – In an earnest effort to uplift the lives of the most vulnerable in the community, the Biliran Province State University (BPSU) School of Arts and Sciences launched the "Financial Literacy Extension Project" on May 25, 2022 at Barangay Cabungan, Naval, Biliran. This program is dedicated to extending a helping hand to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the Province of Biliran. The initiative is aimed at providing vital technical assistance and enhancing knowledge regarding financial budgeting, with the ultimate goal of improving the financial well-being of the 4Ps beneficiaries.
Biliran Province State University's face-to-face entrance examination for aspiring college and high school students for the Academic Year 2022-2023 officially began on May 18.
The Admission and Retention Office (ARO) successfully administered the exam to 127 undergraduate level applicants at the BiPSU Student Center.
More examinees are expected in the subsequent sessions slated on the following schedule:
May 20, 25, 27, June 1 – College/Undergraduate Applicants (Main/Naval Campus)
June 3, 8 – College/Undergraduate Applicants (Biliran Campus)
June 10, 15 – Grade 7 Junior High School Applicants
According to the Admission and Retention Office, conducting admission examinations is a yearly institutional activity and is part of the screening and placement of BiPSU’s incoming students.
"This is to ensure that students are directed to programs that are a good fit for their abilities or potential. It also supports some of the University's #WoWBiPSU Strategic Plan goals, such as a high program retention rate, completion rate, and licensure examination passing rate."
The ARO ensured that the integrity of the exam results was preserved since examinees were closely monitored.
