BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Canezo, Jr. and Planning Director & QS Focal Person Mr. Joedel Penaranda traveled to the United State of America (USA) to participate in this year’s QS-Wharton Reimagine Conference held at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) on December 5-10, 2022.

The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) officially awards QS Stars to Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) during the QS Higher Education Summit: Asia Pacific 2022 hosted by Universitas Indonesia and co-hosted by Prince of Songkla University, held on 8-10 November 2022 in Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta City, Jakarta, Indonesia.

In recognition of Biliran Province State University’s commendable physical performance for Fiscal Year 2021, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Regional Office VIII awarded BiPSU the Physical Performance Award during the virtual FY 2022 Mid-Year Agency Performance Review (APR) Consultation on September 5 via Google Meet.

Based on the report submitted by the university, BiPSU has attained and exceeded the targets for all Performance Indicators (PIs) in the fiscal year (2021) General Appropriations Act (GAA).

Mr. Joedel O. Penaranda, Institutional Planning Officer explained further that BiPSU's overall physical accomplishment as of December 31, 2021, has exceeded the FY 2020 GAA targets covering four (4) mandated core programs in higher education, advance education, research and technical advisory extension program with seventeen (17) outcomes and output indicators.

Following its successful launch last year, the School of Teacher Education (STEd) held the 2nd leg of Hugyaw sa STEd last July 11–12.

In line with the 50th Founding Anniversary celebration of the university, the School of Criminal Justice Education (SCJE) showcased the talents and skills of its students during the 3-Day Disiplina at Galing: SCJE Days 2022 held last July 4-6 at Biliran Province State University.

The School of Technology and Computer Studies (STCS) joined the prelude to BiPSU's golden anniversary celebration with their school days dubbed as STCS KARISYUHAN 2022, July 6–8. Anchored on the theme, "Tradition and Transformation: A celebration of BIPSU's Golden Years of Weaving Worthiness," STCS students were divided into three Philippine mythology-inspired teams: Mayari, Saik, and Lalahon.

After being rated as a 3-star university by the QS Stars Rating System last Monday, BiPSU has been recognized by the Provincial Government of Biliran as one of the Most Outstanding National Government Agencies during the Governor Rogelio J. Espina Galing Mo Awards held at the BiPSU Gymnasium last night, June 29.

TACLOBAN CITY - Biliran Province State University (BIPSU), in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management, through its Institutional Planning Office (IPO), conducted an In-house Training on Public Financial Management (PFM) last 19-21 October.

Biliran Province State University, through its External Affairs Office, in cooperation with Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) hosted a one-stop shop and job fair dubbed as WoW Trabaho Handog ni BiPSU, today, August 11 at the university gymnasium.
